Discover Hicks

What is this place about? How can a person get connected and involved here? Where did she get that donut?

These are common questions people have that we want to answer at a special one evening gathering called Discover Hicks on Sunday, September 16th from 6 to 8pm.

We will gather in the overflow area of the sanctuary for a light meal and time of fellowship.

During this time we will give you our thoughts on what Hicks is really about, what we love, what we strive for, what we want our community to be. You will hear from the Pastor and other key leaders. You will get to ask questions and you will be asked questions. We want to know what brought you here and what God is doing in your life.

Who is Discover Hicks for? It is for two groups of people, really. The first group is brand new people to the church who want to find out more about the church, meet some people, ask a question, but don’t want to commit to anything just yet. The second group of people are people who have perhaps been coming to Hicks for a little while, maybe still have some questions and are exploring how to get connected and be more intentional in following Jesus.

Discover Hicks is one evening meeting for both these groups. It will be fun. And then that’s it, no further obligation. But, for those folks who attend and are interested in the Next Step, we will be offering a four week Membership Class on Wednesday evenings starting Wednesday, September 19th at 7pm. This class will go deeper into Scripture, theology, and mission of the Church. Participants will be assigned a mentor and will be invited to officially join the church in mid October.
